What We're About
New York AI Engineers is a community for anyone passionate about the craft, impact, and future of engineering.Whether you’re a fullstack developer exploring LLMs, a data scientist testing new tools, or an AI engineer shipping production systems, you’ll find your people here.
Our mission is simple: build a space where engineers can share projects, ask questions, learn from each other, and form lasting connections across the NYC tech scene.
We make this real through a series of tech talks designed to spark honest conversations and meaningful relationships.

Our August meetup at Mindspace Brooklyn drew a packed crowd of 200+ engineers for three sharp, technical talks from leaders working at the edge of AI:
Claire Yin, ML Engineer @ Google DeepMind (Gemini)
Claire introduced Canvas, walked through the model’s evolution in training, prompting, and evaluations, and shared a look ahead at where agentic and interactive AI experiences might be headed.
Rick Blalock, Technical Founder @ Agentuity
Rick gave an unfiltered look at the headaches of deploying agents in production, what agents actually need to succeed, and how his team at Agentuity is tackling those pain points.
Ben Lerner, Technical Founder @ Espresso AI
Ben pulled back the curtain on Espresso AI, which uses ML to automatically optimize Snowflake. He also drew on his background in performance engineering and ML at Google to share practical lessons on scaling data systems.
Each talk blended real-world challenges with concrete solutions, sparking some of the best Q&A sessions we’ve had yet.
September AI Engineers Tech Talk
We’re back in Brooklyn on September 10 for another night of AI talks built by engineers, for engineers. If you’re into shipping real AI systems, whether as an ML engineer, data scientist, or fullstack dev curious about LLMs, this is your crowd.
Speakers this month:
Zach Fry, VP of Engineering @ Arthur
TBA Engineer, @ Graphite
Jonathan Lopez, Prompt Engineering Manager @ The Browser Company
Expect three short, tech talks packed with lessons from the field, plus plenty of time to meet other builders over pizza and soft drinks.
