Why This Breakfast Exists

Hiring is hard. It's even harder when you're doing it alone.

That's why every month, we gather 15 TA and HR leaders over breakfast to talk about what's actually working, what's not, and what's coming next. No PowerPoints. No vendor pitches. Just real conversations with people who get it.

Whether you're navigating AI-powered recruiting tools, trying to crack engineering hiring, or just want to compare notes with peers who are in the trenches with you, this is your space.

What to Expect

This isn't your typical networking breakfast. We keep it small (capped at 15 people), structured enough to be valuable, and casual enough to feel human.

The Flow:

• 8:45–9:00am: Arrive, grab coffee and breakfast, meet the group

• 9:00–9:40am: Roundtable discussion led by prompts (January's questions TBA)

• 9:40–10:00am: Open conversation and connections

We encourage you to arrive a little early, some of the best conversations happen before we officially start.

Who You'll Meet

You'll be sitting with other TA directors, HR leaders, recruiting ops folks, and talent executives from SF tech companies. The kind of people who care deeply about building great teams and aren't afraid to share what's working (and what's bombing).

About Your Host

Brett Martin, co-founder of Fonzi.ai (backed by $24M from Lightspeed), hosts this series. Fonzi is a curated marketplace connecting companies with elite AI/ML engineers. Brett is also managing partner at Charge Ventures, which has backed 70+ companies including unicorns like Clay, Bison Trails, and Electric.ai. He started these breakfasts because he believes the best insights don't come from conferences, they come from honest conversations over good food.
